Third day of the cargo weekend

Every single one was tired on the third morning. There still remained a mountaing of work to be done and the time was running out. The morning turned out to be a success after all, since the idea of packing remaining dry food - pasta, rise, seeds etc - into empty fuel containers. This enabled us to have 210 litres of addition excellent cargo space. In Kanada, this containers are again emptied, rinsed, and they then are ready to be filled with the fuel.

Every single item was entered into a computer. We did this in order to easy the hassle with the customs and to make sure we have everything packed. As there is about one month to start, we just don't have any spare time to have these items be hold in customs.

At 10.00 in the evening all boxes were packed. Then they needed to be closed and sealed, marked and weighted. Pasi Nissilä from the support team came to help us out with the last things to be done, as well as cleaning up the place. By end of the night, we had seven neatly packed boxes between 140 and 185 kilos each. The last expedition member hit the sack around 1.00 am. Remaining time: one month.
