About half of the expedition group - Poppis, Toni, Perttu and Tero, was again in tests organised by Department of Biology and Physical Activity, University of Jyväskylä. This was the second test in series of three tests. The last tests will be conducted immediately after the return back to Finland. Each time the physical tests are identical, in order to enable the researchers to find out how arctic exploration affects the human body. The tests indicate that members have gained weight, but the performance has remained the same as previously. This was as expected so the expedition is physically ready to go.

This time there were additional tests included in the test set. Heart beat was analysed as expedition members learned Japanese characters and followed computer based training. The mental condition was probably not at the very best, as the last nights sewing exercises took their toll.

Medical materials were trained by Heikki Karinen, who is a member of the support team. Wound treatments were studied. The target is to be able to treat all wounds and possible sicknesses on the ice without any external help.
